 Forty year after the main explosion, in 1927, volcanic activity was seen in the sea covering the old caldera, between the sites of the two northernmost former volcanoes of Krakatau, where the greatest activity had occurred at the time of the cataclysm. A series of eruption 185 m below the surface of the sea resulted in the emergence of three new islands, one after the other. They were all son destroyed by surf. A fourth emerged from the sea on August 12th 1930. It remained above water, and was aptly named Anak Krakatau (child of Krakatau)
This young and active volcano has been growing around 6 feet a year and still continues doing so. It grew by the accumulation of ash, and suffered a devastating eruption in 1952, and other very destructive one in 1971. It is now 300 m high and 5 Km in diameter, and is still active spurting fire and cinder, this like moonlike landscape. It is lonely volcanic island in the middle of the sea. The northeast coast, north foreland and east foreland are now vegetated; the succession of vegetation is still at an early stage, Casuarinas equisetifolia (cemara) being the dominant tree.

We could pick you up in Jakarta city at 6:00 am for meeting service with our representative
than transfer by car directly to coastal town of Carita beach take about 3 hours (arrived at 8:30 to 9 am) or you can drive by your own car to our the address office at Carita beach
Depart from carita beach than we board the fast boat for Cruising the Sunda strait take 1. 30 hours to the legendary Krakatau
lies only 50 Km from he west java coast in Carita beach . Today only a small
part of the original volcano remains but when Krakatau blew it self apart in
1883, in one of the world’s greatest and most catastrophic eruptions, the
effects were recorded far beyond Sunda
Strait and it achieved
instant and lasting infamy.Today
you can come and step your
foot on it searching closely the minerals (Volcanic bomb, lava) from
the bottom
of the earth which were thrown up through its crater. Krakatau and its
terrific eruption which is recorded in the history now invites every
one to come and witness for science as well as for pleasure. Landing and climb
up the volcanoand climb up to the first top of volcano than step your foot on it searching closely the minerals

through its crater, from the top you can see the wonder beautiful sea view of krakatau arcipe Back to the boat than continue to old Krakatau island
for snorkeling to see variety of fish at coral reef (angelfish, surgeonfish,
clownfish, batfish, butterfly fish etc, lunch will be served on the beach
Late afternoon back to Carita - Jakarta. End the trip. /L
